A Year Ago Today

One year ago today, a sweet boy took his girl out on a "fancy date." She was unsuspecting and naive, he was nervous and excited. He took her to dinner, pulled out a ring, and a year later, here we are.

Today was very de ja vu. Last year, Jefferson had been working down on the line. His hands were sore, his feet were leaden. This year was my turn. I switched jobs and now work down on the line instead of upstairs in the offices. My feet are so sore, and my hands are covered in cuts of all depths and sizes.

When we got home from work, to commemorate our one year anniversary of the day we got engaged, we watched the candid camera filming of Jefferson's proposal. It was so sweet, cuddling together and watching the events of that night unfurl. What a wonderful memory.
